Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is the ELI?

The Equity Leadership Index (ELI) is an on-demand, online assessment designed specifically for healthcare departments and institutions seeking to evaluate their leadership infrastructure, culture, and readiness for the next era of healthcare. Created by a practicing clinician and health system leader, the ELI provides a practical and actionable framework to assess strategy alignment, operational performance, and organizational culture — delivering tailored recommendations aligned with your institution’s goals.

2. Who is it for?

The ELI is designed for clinical and administrative healthcare leaders, departments, and executive teams seeking to strengthen care delivery, improve culture and engagement, and align leadership strategy with value-based care models. It is especially useful for organizations navigating change, restructuring, or preparing for future regulatory and industry expectations.

3. Why now?

Healthcare is entering a period of rapid transformation — driven by value-based reimbursement, workforce strain, regulatory complexity, and community expectations. The ELI helps organizations evaluate whether their leadership structures, operational systems, and engagement strategies are positioned to produce sustainable results in this evolving environment.

4. Is it evidence-based?

Yes. The ELI is built on peer-reviewed research, executive leadership data, and Dynamize Health’s work across academic institutions, health systems, and industry partners. The framework is grounded in established leadership and systems science principles.

5. What does it evaluate?

The ELI examines three core domains:

  • Interpersonal dynamics
  • Leadership structure and governance
  • Strategy design and implementation

These domains include 15 curated performance indicators designed by Dynamize Health to surface actionable, organization-specific insights related to culture, engagement, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability.

6. How is this different from consulting?

The ELI is an efficient, cost-effective diagnostic tool that delivers tailored insight without requiring long-term consulting contracts. It provides actionable intelligence faster and more specifically than generic culture surveys, allowing organizations to identify strengths and prioritize strategic focus areas.

7. What does it cost?

The ELI assessment costs $500.
This includes:

  • Full access to the assessment
  • A comprehensive results report
  • Benchmarking insights
  • An optional 1:1 virtual debrief with a Dynamize Health advisor
8. Are discounts available?

Yes. Dynamize Health honors discount codes obtained through membership with partner organizations (e.g., ODLC – link to orthodiversity.org/membership).

9. How long does the ELI assessment take?

The assessment can take up to 60 minutes to complete, but it doesn’t need to be finished in one sitting. You can take breaks and complete it at your own pace, making it a flexible and convenient tool for busy professionals.

10. What happens after I purchase the ELI tool?

Once you purchase the ELI, you’ll receive a personalized link to start the assessment. After completing it, you will receive a detailed report with actionable insights and recommendations. You’ll also receive an invitation to schedule a 1:1 debrief meeting to discuss your results and get personalized guidance from an Dynamize Health expert.

11. Can I share my link with my colleagues to take the assessment at other institutions?

No. The Dynamize Health Equity Leadership Index is trademarked content, and your personalized link may not be shared outside of your organization. Once you complete the assessment, your link will no longer be valid. This ensures the integrity and confidentiality of the results within your institution.

12. Do I get to keep my responses for future comparisons?

Yes! Your responses and results are securely stored, and you will have access to them for future comparisons. This allows you to track your progress over time, benchmark your improvements, and assess the impact of your equity initiatives.

13. How often should my organization take the ELI?

We recommend completing the ELI every 2-3 years. This allows your organization to assess its progress, update goals, and continue to evolve with the changing landscape of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

14. Will my answers be kept confidential?

100% yes! Your results and recommendations will be shared only with your designated leader in your organization. While the scoring will be aggregated for benchmarking purposes, there will be no external identification that could point to your individual results, ensuring your privacy and confidentiality.

15. Why is it different?

The ELI stands apart because it is specifically designed for healthcare institutions, integrating clinical insight with executive-level strategy. It is not a generic survey. It delivers actionable recommendations that strengthen leadership alignment, operational effectiveness, and long-term performance in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
